(dailynes.com) A report of a suspicious package in a Wells Fargo branch in Valencia on Wednesday afternoon resulted in evacuations and road closures, but the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said no package or explosives were found.

Officials said they received a call about a suspicious package inside the bank. The bank was evacuated so deputies could investigate.

Although Magic Mountain Parkway had been closed from Auto Center Drive to McBean Parkway as a precaution, the sheriff’s department didn’t immediately send its arson and explosives detail to the scene.

Officials said that no evidence of an explosive was found anywhere inside the building, and deputies left the scene just before 6 p.m.

The sheriff’s department said it is investigating the incident.
