Cyclists of all ages and experience levels are invited to ride together and explore the City of Santa Clarita’s trail system at the annual “Hit the Trail” Community Bike Ride on Saturday, May 12 from 10:00 a.m. to noon at Valencia Heritage Park (24155 Newhall Ranch Road). The free event includes a guided, non-competitive bicycle ride, and a family fun fair with activities and giveaways. No registration is required to participate.

Upon arrival at Valencia Heritage Park, riders will be greeted by a variety of family-friendly activities, tricycle races and a chance to win free giveaways.

Enjoy an escorted leisurely bike ride through the City’s trail system. There will be a choice of a full nine-mile route or a shorter, four-mile route for those with younger children. The ride will begin and end at the park. Jersey Mike’s has partnered with the City on the event, offering free sandwiches to those who ride, while supplies last.

“Hit the Trail” is being held in celebration of Bike Safety Month. More information about “Hit the Trail” Community Bike Ride, as well as other bike safety events in Santa Clarita, can be found at BikeSantaClarita.com.
